These are the situations that make up a mass. The majority are not malignant. Usually, the patient can be diagnosed with a careful history and hand examination. The most common tumors are ganglia (cysts arising from the joints), giant cell tumors, fibromas (connective tissue tumors) and vascular structure (hemangioma) disorders that cause tumor effect. Nervous tumors (neuromas, neuromas), bone tumors (osteochondromas, enchondromas), lipomas (fat tumors) and malignant tumors may also be found. The most common malignant tumors of the hand come out of the skin.
All of these tumors should be surgically removed.
